Turbine flowmeter installation precautions is following:
(1) Installation site
The turbine flowmeter sensor should be installed in a place where maintenance is easy, and the pipeline is free from vibration, strong magnetic interference and heat radiation. When installed outdoors, there should be measures to avoid direct sunlight and rain.
(2) Installation requirements and precautions
The sensor installed horizontally of the turbine flowmeter requires that the pipeline should have no observable tilt (within 5 deg;). The vertical deviation of the sensor installed vertically should be less than 5 deg;, and the fluid direction should be downward and upward.
Where the flow cannot be stopped, bypass and stop valves should be installed.
If the fluid contains impurities, a filter should be installed on the upstream side; if it contains gas, a deaerator should be installed on the upstream side. The drain and air outlet of the filter and the air cleaner should lead to a safe place.
The flow regulating valve should be installed downstream of the sensor, and the upstream shut-off valve should be fully opened during measurement, and must not cause vibration and external leakage. For processes that may produce reverse flow, check valves should be added to prevent reverse flow of fluid.
The sensor should be concentric with the pipeline, and the sealing gasket must not protrude into the pipeline. The sensor should no longer be at the high point of the pipeline, so as to prevent the gas accumulated in the pipeline (such as air mixed in when the flow is stopped) staying at the sensor, which is difficult to discharge and affect the measurement.
The pipes at the front and rear of the sensor should be supported firmly without vibration. For condensable fluids, heat insulation measures should be taken for the sensor and its front and rear pipes.
Transmission cables are usually two-core or three-core with shielded signal cables. The shielded signal cables should be grounded at the end of the display instrument (flow totalizer or flow calculation controller). The transmission path should not be parallel to the power supply line. Area where lines are concentrated.
